What is Rocket Fuel?

This is going to be a very short “How to” blog entry. How to make “Rocket Fuel”!!! Also known as (Bulletproof) Coffee, made popular by the brand of the same name in the past few years, is the combo of Coffee, Butter (Grass fed please),  and MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) aka Coconut Oil. This tasty concoction is a favorite of mine and my first choice when acquiescing to the craving for Coffee in Pacific Beach in the morning.  The combination of caffeine and healthy fats provides long term morning energy without the jittery feeling of too much coffee/caffeine spiking your body by itself.

Here are the Steps:

Step #1 – Brew

Make coffee- I prefer Lion Coffee Original blend (http://www.lioncoffee.com) from Hawaii prepared using a French Press. Steeped for 4 minutes.

Step #2- Butter &Oil

Add 1-2 Tablespoons of Butter (Grass Fed preferred, Kerrygold Irish butter is readily found at most local stores) and Coconut Oil (Cold pressed and Virgin) into the empty blender per 2-3 cups of coffee. Experiment to taste.

Step #3 – Blend

Blend on high for 10 - 20 seconds.

Be careful of the splash up. McDonald's disclaimer - COFFEE IS HOT!

Step # - 4 Kick Ass

The resulting Elixir of the Gods tastes like a creamy cappuccino with a foamy head.

Drink heartily, go forth, change the world, and Kick some Ass!

Please leave a comment if you try this out, let me know if you liked it, hated it, whatever. Thanks.
